Our First Winner in the Sister Schubert’s Quality Time Story Contest
As a working mother and grandmother, I know how hard it can be to find ways to spend quality time together as a family. Everyone is so busy, and parents are under even more pressure in today’s economy.
That’s why we created a Quality Time section on the Sister Schubert’s Web site. It’s a great place for parents to share tips, ideas and anecdotes about activities that have brought them closer together as a family.
To encourage parents to take time to post their thoughts, we run a monthly Quality Time Story Contest. I read all the stories submitted that month and choose the one that I find most inspiring. The winner receives a large, hand-painted gift basket with lots of Sister Schubert’s goodies.
For our first contest winner, I chose a story about a toddler playing in the snow with her father. I just fell in love with the adorable little girl in her pink sunglasses and knitted cap, and think you will, too.
Winter and Hadley

Hadley
“Hadley is just 18 mos. old and she already knows a good man when she sees one. All he needs is a lap and a carrot nose and she is smitten. Hadley loves to make snow angels and go sledding with Daddy. Though Daddy has no carrot nose, she does make an exception for him. When she bundles up in her pink snow suit, only her eyes can be seen. After a time in the snow, everyone is ready for some hot vegetable soup and Sister Schubert’s rolls. What a perfect way to warm up. Then it’s time for Daddy’s nap!”
There’s still plenty of time to enter our March Quality Time Story Contest. I can’t wait to read all the wonderful stories!
Until next time,
