Sister Schubert Media Tour Kicks off in Birmingham, Knoxville

I’m excited to announce that, this spring and early summer, I will be traveling throughout the South and the Midwest to promote our recipe and story contests and my new book, Cast Your Bread Upon the Waters.

On Sunday, April 19, the tour kicked off on WRBC-TV Fox Channel 6 Morning News in Birmingham, Alabama. I chatted with Morning News anchor Tiffany Bittner and shared an easy recipe for Lemon-Blueberry Trifle made with Sister Schubert’s Blueberry Rolls. You can find a video of the segment and the recipe on the WRBC Web site.

My next stop is Knoxville, Tennessee. This Thursday, April 23, I’ll be appearing between 4 and 5 p.m. on WBIR-TV NBC Channel 10’s “Live at Five” news program.

Mary Constantine, the food writer for the Knoxville News Sentinel, also published a story called “Dishing with Sister Schubert” last week.

Next week, I’ll be taping appearances on the Ann Varnum Show on WTVY-TV CBS Channel 4 in Dothan, Alabama. Watch my blog for the airdates.

And on Friday, May 8, I’ll announce the winner of our Mother’s Day Story Contest between 6 and 7 a.m. on WAKA-TV CBS Channel 8 in Montgomery, Alabama.

We have many more stops planned on the tour and will post dates as they are confirmed.
