Getting Ready to Celebrate a Birthday – Southern Lady Style

Hot and muggy summer greetings from Alabama!

While it’s only been summer for just a few weeks, I cannot wait for October to arrive. Why? I was asked to be a guest speaker at Southern Lady magazine’s 10-year anniversary celebration at the stunning Westin Savannah Harbor Golf Resort & Spa in beautiful Savannah, Georgia.

It’s going to be a three-day party in honor of Southern Lady’s decade-long success. I am eager to meet some of Southern Lady’s biggest fans and dedicated readers, as well as mingle with some of the South’s most successful women. That weekend, I will be joined by famous interior designer Laurie Hickson-Smith from Trading Spaces and fellow Dixie-state gal and talented artist, Diana Hansen—just to name a few.

I will be speaking on the first night of the celebration and then will be joining the lovely Phyllis Hoffman, editor-in-chief of Southern Lady, for a signing session of my new book, Cast Your Bread Upon the Waters.

So, if you have October 9-11 free, grab your best gals and come on down to Savannah for some great eating, shopping, relaxation and inspiration!
