Sister Schubert Raises Funds for Museum Center at 5ive Points in Cleveland, Tennessee
In addition to my role as founder of Sister Schubert’s Homemade Rolls, one of my most rewarding activities is to help raise funds for worthy causes.
I just returned from Henderson, Kentucky, where I was a guest chef for an Ohio Valley Arts League, and on Monday, May 10, I arrive in Cleveland, Tennessee to raise funds for the Museum Center at 5ive Points. This facility preserves and interprets the history and culture of the Ocoee Region of Tennessee and houses a gallery showcasing the arts and crafts of the South at its Museum Store.
From two to four p.m., I’ll be selling and signing copies of my newest book, Cast Your Bread Upon the Waters. A portion of the proceeds from book sales will go to the Museum Center, with the remainder benefiting the Barnes Family Foundation.
Then, at 6:30 p.m., I’ll mingle with attendees at an intimate, Southern-barbecue-themed Preview Party. The cost to attend this event is $20 per person.
The next day, I’ll speak at the Museum Center’s seventh annual fundraising luncheon, which starts at 11:30 a.m. and costs $35 per person.
A live auction of unique items such as an antique amethyst necklace and a luncheon for 10 at a Victorian home will follow my talk.
If you’re in the area, please consider joining me in supporting the Museum Center at 5ive Points.
Until next time,
