Fruits and Veggies: Think bite-size food, such as grapes, baby carrots, apple slices, celery sticks, cherry tomatoes and melon balls. Kids love dipping, so consider bringing single-serve cups of ranch dressing or peanut butter.
Nuts and Granola: Both are crunchy and packed with protein. Granola can be bought pre-packaged or made from scratch. Remove shells from nuts before the trip; otherwise, you'll be cleaning them out of the back of the car when you get home.
String Cheese and Yogurt Tubes: Add an element of play to snacking! Kids can squirt yogurt in their mouths and dangle bits of string cheese. They'll be so busy having fun, they won't realize they're eating healthy.
