LUVERNE, Ala. – Busy families have a new champion: Sister Schubert. The working mother and founder of Sister Schubert's Homemade Rolls is now sharing easy recipes from her family's collection, tips for creating quality time, and much more on the all-new SisterSchuberts.com Web site.
"Like many women today, I've often struggled to find a way to balance earning a living with creating quality time to nurture home and family," said Patricia Barnes, better known as Sister Schubert in millions of U.S. households. "I was fortunate to turn my love of cooking into a company that allows busy working families to enjoy home-baked quality rolls at their everyday meals."
Barnes started baking her now-famous rolls in her home in Troy, Ala. and grew her bakery into a multi-million dollar business in less than a decade. Today, millions of American families enjoy the home-baked taste and quality of these heirloom rolls, which are still baked with fresh eggs, whole milk and other quality ingredients according to the recipe Ms. Barnes inherited from her grandmother.
The frozen, partially baked yeast rolls and related bread products go from freezer to dinner table in a few minutes. Producing more than 500 million rolls annually at three bakeries, the company distributes its products through Wal-Mart stores nationally and a wide range of grocery chains primarily in the South and Midwest as well as the Web site.
The Web site features:
- Online ordering capabilities
