SISTERSCHUBERTS.COM LAUNCHES MONTHLY "QUALITY TIME" STORY CONTEST, CUSTOMER NEWSLETTER

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
January 12, 2009

Best story wins gift basket from Sister Schubert's Homemade Rolls;
Coupons awarded to contest entrants and newsletter subscribers

LUVERNE, Ala. – As a busy working mother, Patricia "Sister Schubert" Barnes, founder of Sister Schubert's Homemade Rolls, knows how difficult it can be for today's cash- and time-strapped parents to find ways to spend quality time with their families. To collect and share ideas, she is launching a monthly "Quality Time" story contest and a new electronic newsletter on the company Web site, www.SisterSchuberts.com.

Ms. Barnes initiated the contest to encourage families to exchange ideas for activities that can bring them closer together. "In these challenging times, it is more important than ever to nurture family relationships," she said. "Through our Web site and newsletter, we hope to encourage and inspire families across the country."

To enter, contestants can upload an anecdote of 750 words or less along with a photo to www.sisterschuberts.com/quality-time/story.dT. Full contest rules are posted on the Web site.

The monthly electronic newsletter will include tips from Ms. Barnes and recipes from her family's collection as well as excerpts from contest entries. Customers can sign up at www.sisterschuberts.com/newsletter/signup.dT. Subscribers will receive a $1-off coupon in each issue.

Entries that meet the contest criteria will receive a coupon for $1 off any variety of Sister Schubert's Homemade Rolls.

Each month, Ms. Barnes will select one winner, who will receive a hand-painted gift basket complete with two pans of Sister Schubert's rolls, a choice of Sister Schubert's specialty gift products, a package of Mook's Cheese Straws, two packs of Red Diamond Estate coffee and a hand-decorated, seasonal cookie.
