Christmas Sugar Cookies

  • ¾ cup butter or margarine, softened
  • ¾ cup sugar
  • 1 egg
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla
  • ½ teaspoon almond extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon baking powder
In bowl cream together butter or margarine and sugar.

Beat in egg, vanilla, and almond extract.

Stir together flour, salt, and baking powder.

Stir into creamed mixture.

Divide dough in half.

Cover each one and chill 30 minutes.

Roll each ball to ¼" thickness.

Cut with Christmas cookie cutters.

Decorate with your favorite sprinkles.

Bake in a 375 degrees oven for 10 to 12 minutes.
